From Classroom to Competition: Gulf University Students Secure Second Place at “Al-Shrouq” International Festival
A student project from the College of Communication and Media Technologies at Gulf University has achieved a prestigious milestone, securing second place at the 10th edition of the Al-Shrouq International Festival for Media Student Creativity. The award-winning project, titled "Signature Café," was honored in the "Best Advertising Campaigns" category.
The significance of this achievement is highlighted by the scale of the competition, which featured 238 student entries from 40 Arab and international universities.
The project was developed by Malak Al-Jasmi, a graduate of the Bachelor of Media program, during the previous fall semester as part of the Advertising Campaigns course under the supervision of Ms. Bashayer Al-Mahdi.
The campaign focused on building a creative visual and communicative identity designed to enhance the competitive edge of "Signature Café" within the local market. This was achieved through a precision-targeted digital advertising campaign engineered for maximum reach and impact.
Dr. Naglaa Al-Gammal, Dean of the College of Communication and Media Technologies, emphasized that this distinction reflects the college’s core educational philosophy.
This excellence mirrors our commitment to a practical and applied approach that directly meets the evolving needs of the media labor market.
