From Bahrain to Beijing: Gulf University Student Represents the Kingdom at Global Media Seminar
Fatima Al-Sahaf, a student in the Master of Media program at Gulf University, participated as part of the Bahrain Journalists Association delegation in the “Integrated Development of New Media” seminar, held in Beijing, the capital of the People’s Republic of China. The seminar was organized by the Research and Training Institute affiliated with the National Radio and Television Administration of China.
The seminar highlighted the latest developments in the field of digital media. Participants were introduced to the experiences of Chinese media institutions in employing artificial intelligence technologies, developing media content, and showcasing models of Chinese radio and television production that have achieved wide international recognition.
Al-Sahaf expressed her appreciation for the opportunity to participate, emphasizing that the seminar provided her with a valuable platform to explore China’s experience in digital transformation and to exchange expertise with media professionals from various countries. She noted that the experience contributed to enhancing her professional and academic knowledge while opening new horizons for research and study in the field of digital media.
For her part, Dr. Naglaa Al-Gammal, Dean of the College of Communication and Media Technologies, explained that one of the College’s key strategic objectives is to provide students with opportunities to engage in leading international experiences in media production technology through the international educational trips organized annually by the College. She added that these initiatives play a significant role in developing students’ skills, preparing them for the labor market with the highest levels of professionalism, and strengthening their competitiveness in the rapidly evolving media landscape.
