Gulf University Students Showcase FinTech Innovations at 2026 Exhibition
The Grand Hall at Gulf University witnessed the launch of the “FinTech Innovation Exhibition 2026” on Monday, June 1. During the event, Gulf University students presented a standout collection of innovative projects and ideas reflecting the future vision of the financial technology sector, delivered through creative solutions that bridge academic knowledge and practical application.
The exhibition serves as a strategic platform highlighting the students’ ambition and strong ability to keep pace with rapid developments in the finance and technology sectors. This aligns with continuous efforts to foster innovation and digital transformation within both educational and practical environments.
Dr. Siddiq Balal, Dean of the College of Accounting and Financial Sciences, praised the advanced level demonstrated by the students, stating:
Gulf University remains deeply committed to nurturing an educational environment that stimulates creativity and leadership, in line with the Economic Vision of the Kingdom of Bahrain to support innovation and digital transformation. The exceptional projects we witnessed today in the FinTech sector reflect the depth of our academic outcomes and our youth’s ability to provide tangible solutions that serve the national economy. We are dedicated to continuously investing in these young talents and providing all necessary resources to enable them to excel and lead globally.

The exhibition featured strong competition among four student teams, each presenting an integrated project designed to address contemporary financial challenges with smart and innovative solutions.
At the conclusion of the exhibition, the evaluation committee assessed the projects and awarded first place to student Malak AlQaidoom for her project, “Kafeel”.
Expressing her immense joy following the win, student Malak AlQaidoom stated:
I feel an immense sense of pride and honor to have achieved first place in this distinguished exhibition. This milestone would not have been possible without the grace of Almighty Allah, followed by the great support we received from Gulf University, and the exceptional efforts made by Mr. Ali Khamis. His continuous supervision, guidance, and superb organization of this event played a decisive role in creating the ideal environment for us to deliver our very best.
